The 16th of October, Motstøyfestivalen learned that FFUK ( www.ffuk.no ) will support the festival with 30 000 NOK! The money will be used to pay the artists who attended Motstøy 2008. A big, big thanks goes to FFUK!

Motstøyfestivalen receives financial support from Norsk Kulturråd!
On the 17th September 08, the Motstøyfestival received 50 000 NOK from Norsk Kulturråds Utvalget for Turne- og arrangørstøtte for Rock og Populærmusikk (www.norskkulturrad.no) ! The money will be used to pay the artists who attends this year's edition, which takes place in Notodden in 2 weeks! A big, big thanks goes to Norsk Kulturråd!
Accomodation at Motstøy 08
We offer cheap accommodation in classrooms at Notodden Vgs, Tinnes. The school is close to the festival, and lies in the upper part of the main street (Storgata) in Notodden. Please study the Motstøy-map on the website on beforehand, so you are able to find your way during the festival. Follow signs to find the way. Toilettes and showers are available at the school. Bring something soft to lie on and a sleeping-bag. Prices: One night 100 NOK - Two nights 150NOK

Motstøy Kick Off 2008
The Motstøy Kick Off will find place Friday the 22nd August at Arno Musikkbar, Notodden. We present to you Lillith and Wintergrave, which will also play at Motstøy in October, and two other bands which will be announced shortly. Doors open at 18:00 and the first band will play around 18:30.Motstøy-poster 2008!
The Spanish designer Ritxi (www.iikki.com) is our poster-designer and we are very proud to publish this year’s edition! We are very happy with the way it looks and it will be put up in most parts of Norway in a few weeks. Coming soon to a place near you!
Lillith and Wintergrave to Motstøy 2008!
Lillith and Wintergrave are the two demo bands who won this year’s demo-competition! They will get to play at the Motstøyfestival 10.& 11. October with bands such as Satyricon, Gorgoroth, Finntroll, Flower Kings and several more! We congratulate the members of the bands. More information regarding the bands will be added to "Artists" shortly.
Gorgoroth, Finntroll and Shining are confirmed to Motstøy ' 08!
The line-up for Motstøy 2008 is now complete and we are incredibly proud to announce that Gorgoroth, Finntroll and Shining also will play at the Motstøyfestival in October. The running order will be released shortly with a complete overview of the line-up, together with information regarding the bands.

Satyricon and The Flower Kings to the Motstøyfestival 2008
Satyricon is confirmed to Motstøy and will be the headliner on Friday 10th of October! The Motstøy-board is incredibly proud to announce that Satyricon will visit Notodden in October. We are also proud to announce that The Flower Kings will co-headline the festival on Saturday 11th of October.

Motstøy recieves "Fagforeningens Pris 2008"
Motstøyfestivalen was, appearantly, nominated to "Fagforeningens Pris 2008", and today, during an outdoor arrangement in Notodden, Motstøy received the award, which was
15 000 NOK! This came as a big surprise and it is very nice to see that our work is so highly apprechiated by our local community.
